Trapper John

Weekdays 3:00pm-7:00pm Sunday 6:00am-12 noon

An enduring, strong-featured and genial star of North American cinema, he started off in TV westerns in the ’60s and then carved his name into ’70s and ’80s popular culture as a male sex symbol (posing nearly nude for “Cosmopolitan” magazine) and on the big screen as both a rugged action figure and then as a wisecracking, Southern-type “good olé’ boy”. His most ballyhooed roles came in “The Longest Yard”, “Smokey and the Bandit”, and “Cannonball Run” before making a comeback years later on the TV sitcom, “Evening Shade”. He was also once married to Loni Anderson.

Actually, above is a short bio of beloved actor Burt Reynolds. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Trapper John (although he is a fan of the Trans Am Burt drove in Smokey and the Bandit.) You can find out more about Trapper weekday afternoons on Rock 105.3 between 3-7 and Sunday mornings from 6 ’til noon.

I don’t blame this guy for being upset – one of the most colossal chokes in recent sports memory was the one the Leafs pulled off Monday night. Don’t forget the second round of the playoffs means we start fresh for more prizes from Dayz Off Pub here!

Crue Calling It Quits…Eventually

Posted on by trapper.john

crue cover

Here`s another reason why you should check out Motley Crue in Lethbridge next week – the band has started to think about retirement! At least working together as the Crue. Vince Neil says “We’re going to put out some new music next year and then it’s our farewell tour … we’ll do the world one more time and then call it a day.

“Our farewell tour (will be like) 2014 or ’15. Tours last about two years. So to finish the world, you’ve got to do the US, Canada, Europe, Asia … it takes some time.” More rock news here.
