Austrian Felix Baumgartner is planning to break the record for the highest-ever skydive when he jumps from a capsule 37 kilometres up. The capsule will be lifted to the stratosphere by a huge balloon. Baumgartner hopes the jump will make him the first skydiver to break the sound barrier and shatter three other world records.
This morning’s balloon launch has been delayed though because of high winds. Baumgartner is still hoping to get his jump in later this week.
