Many would say it cannot be done – and many would say Led Zeppelin IV IS rock perfection. Ok, so rather than improved, let’s say the album is being remastered.
Following the huge success of the band’s first three albums’ reissues (all landing in the Top 10), Led Zep IV and Houses of the Holy will be re-released on October 28.They’ll be available in many different formats – from single disc to super deluxe box set. These albums have been remastered by guitarist Jimmy Page and here’s a taste!
We’ve been playing the new single Edge of a Revolution on Rock 105.3, – now Chad and the crew have released some details on their new album. It’ll be called No Fixed Address and drop on November 4. Chad says “We are very excited to be releasing new music for our fans and feel it’s some of our strongest material to date.”
Cable-and-internet giants Rogers Communications Inc. and Shaw Communications Inc. are partnering to launch a new streaming-video service, set to debut in November.
The subscription on-demand service — called shomi — will feature 14,000 episodes and titles, 11,000 hours of TV shows and more than 1,000 movies. Users will be able to access the service on a computer, tablet, mobile device, Xbox 360 and cable set top boxes.
Slipknot’s new album will come out October 20. It’ll be their 5th, and will pay tribute to late bassist Paul Gray. .5: The Gray Chapter will include 14 songs and 2 bonus tracks on the deluxe edition. It’s their first album since 2008′s All Hope Is Gone. The band’s “Prepare For Hell” tour will see them team up with korn and start in late October.
AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd confirms the band WILL tour again! There was some question as to whether or not they would, after founding member Malcolm Young had to leave the band for health reasons. Rudd says “there will be another tour and I will be on that”.
The band recently wrapped up recording their new album in Vancouver with producer Brendan O ‘Brien (who’s also worked with Aerosmith and Pearl Jam). It’ll be their first since ’08s Black Ice.
Their new song is out – Edge of a Revolution is another anthem from the Hanna, Alberta band. This is the first single from the band’s upcoming 8th studio album. We don’t have a name for that yet – but it is expected to drop this fall.
