New tunes from a familiar face

Saint Asonia, led by former Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier, Staind guitarist Mike Mushok, former Finger Eleven drummer Rich Beddoe and bassist Corey Lowery debuted their chops at the Rock on the Range Festival in Columbus, Ohio this past weekend.

The band’s debut disc is currently in its final stages of completion and is expected to hit store shelves this summer but here’s audio of their first single. ‘Better Place.

Another Icon of the Prairies Gone…

I hate seeing these go away. Where I grew up, I think we had 5 of these type of grain elevators lining the highway in town. They were like our small town skyline. Or NOT so small compared to some prairie towns, having so many of these behemoths. Sadly, they’re disappearing as you can see here captured by a drone.

Ripped off or Coincidence?

Former Guns N’ Roses bass dude Duff McKagan says there’s no truth to the claim that the 1987 Gunner classic “Sweet Child O’Mine” was plagiarized from a 1981 song called “Unpublished Critics” by the Australian band Australian Crawl.

He did say the following though; “It is pretty stunning, but we didn’t steal it from them! I swear, I never heard that song until a couple of days ago.”
